Bare root fruit trees are coming to Sweetland Garden Mercantile starting in January, 2019. This year’s trees are sourced from three very reputable nurseries: Felix Gillet Institute, Dave Wilson Nursery, and Sierra Gold Nursery.

Felix Gillet Varieties for 2019
The Felix Gillet Institute offers rare and unique heirloom fruit and nut varieties as originally bred by Felix Gillet in Nevada City back in the late 1800’s. These varieties are well-adapted to the the Sierra Nevada foothill climate and will provide a healthy abundance of fruit for years to come.

Dave Wilson Nursery
Dave Wilson Nursery was established in 1938 on a small piece of rented ground near Modesto, California. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the largest growers of deciduous fruit, nut and shade trees in the United States.
